3:47 PM — THE OLD WAY
Six terminals. Zero life.
Fluorescent lights. Watching cursors blink so the work doesn't stall. The agents are fine — you're the one stuck.
iPhone + Mac · works with Claude Code
aTerminal turns your fleet of Claude Code agents into something you can listen to. Replies read aloud as you walk. A chime when an agent needs you. Your voice as the keyboard. The work gets done — you get your day back.
A day with aTerminal
Agents don't need you watching them work. They need you reachable for the thirty seconds that matter. Everything else is yours.

3:47 PM — THE OLD WAY
Fluorescent lights. Watching cursors blink so the work doesn't stall. The agents are fine — you're the one stuck.

5:02 PM — THE HANDOFF
He queues the work, pops his earbuds in, and leaves. The fleet keeps running on his machine. It knows how to reach him.

5:20 PM — A CHIME, NOT A SCREEN
Siri reads it over his music, mid-stride. He answers out loud: "Now clear the support queue." Sent. Still walking.

10:36 PM — HIS CALL
Front row with friends. Another chime — he swipes it away. The agents keep working. The moment stays his.
Tremendous output. Zero desk. The world is too beautiful to spend it staring at a terminal.
I want my day backThe product
Every feature exists to answer one question: how much of your agents' work can you follow — and direct — without looking at a screen?
You saidDrain the ticket queue, then post a summary to Slack.
Claude · reading aloudQueue is clear — 41 tickets resolved, 2 escalated to you. The Slack summary is posted and the deploy stayed green throughout.
🎧 Continue listening · 3Every message is read aloud with word-by-word karaoke highlighting, true pause and resume, adjustable speed — even your own Personal Voice.
Been away? The Continue listening pill reads every reply you haven't heard, oldest first — including one still streaming in.
A warm two-note rise when an agent replies. A soft double knock when one needs you. They mix over your music without stopping it.
Dictate replies with on-device speech recognition. On AirPods: press to talk, double-press to send, triple-press to replay — phone locked, hands free.
Flip from the readable agent view to a full PTY with tmux history, one-tap chips for continue, /status, ⌃C, and an esc/ctrl/tab key bar.
The Agent Feed collects every reply and every "needs you" across all sessions. Unheard dots show exactly what you've missed.
Replies arrive as communication notifications: Siri speaks them into your AirPods over ducked music, and you answer by voice — or swipe: later.
Every session gets a deterministic signature color across the whole app. A dozen agents stop looking like a dozen identical windows.
A token usage dashboard self-computed from your transcripts: last 5 hours, last 7 days, burn per hour, input/output/cache breakdown.
Agent Cloud
The apps are free and point at your own Mac. Agent Cloud is for when you want agents that outlive your laptop lid: a dedicated server, yours alone, with Claude Code, tmux, and your skills ready at first boot.
Single-tenant hardware with a locked-down network: no inbound ports, no shared anything, hardened instance metadata, abuse monitoring.
You run /login yourself on first connect. We never see, store, or relay your credentials — that relationship stays yours.
The server joins your own Tailscale tailnet on boot. Same apps, same workflow — your workshop is just always reachable.
Pricing
Metered cloud pricing punishes you for using the thing you bought. Agent Cloud is a flat price — run your agents without doing meter math.

Why we exist
Terminals are walls of tiny text. We built the one you can listen to.
Around one in six developers is dyslexic — and for them, a wall of monospaced output is a wall. aTerminal is accessibility-first by design: listening, speaking, and glanceable color aren't bolted on, they're the founding idea. It turns out ears beat eyes for everyone who runs more than one agent.

Yes. aTerminal drives the real Claude Code CLI running on your machine (or your Agent Cloud server). You sign in to Claude yourself, with your own account — aTerminal never sees, stores, or proxies your credentials.
No. The apps are free, open source, and fully featured pointed at your own Mac or Linux box. Agent Cloud is for people who want their agent workshop always on and professionally backed up, without babysitting hardware.
A machine running Claude Code, Tailscale (free tier is fine) so your phone can reach it privately, and the apps. Setup is minutes, not an afternoon.
No — aTerminal is an independent project that works alongside Claude Code. We think it's the best agent CLI in the world; we just gave it ears and legs.
Claude Code is first-class today. The architecture is agent-agnostic (tmux sessions + transcripts), and support for other CLI agents is on the roadmap.
